Tony was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan.  He comes to us from Red Rock Country Club in Las Vegas.

As Red Rock’s Junior Director he was the personal coach for Steffi and Andre Agassi’s children along with leading the entire junior program.  He also coached 5 USTA teams, including their 4.0 USTA team that made it to the sectional semi-finals in 2006.

Tony has received both the USPTA and the USPTR Professional 1 status. He is certified by the USTA as a High Performance Coach and holds a Specialist Degree from the USPTA in Competitive Player Development.

He was selected as the Michigan Tennis Professional of the year and he has been a coach at the USTA Competition Training Center in Grand Rapids (and is currently a Columbus Training Center Coach).

Tony has been a USTA/Midwest National Zonal Team Coach over ten times serving as Head Coach at Flushing Meadows, Pinehurst, and Wake Forest in all age groups. He was the Australia Cup Director in 2005. As a long time volunteer he has served the Midwest on its Coaching Commission that does long range planning for the USTA/Midwest younger age groups.

Tony has attended conferences for high level coaching including USTA High Performance, USTA National Teachers Conference at the US Open and the Training Center Coaches workshop in Key Biscayne. He was the Junior Development Director for the Cayman Islands.  In addition he served the USPTA as the Michigan District President.  Tony has coached many high level players and currently has students playing at UCLA, Butler and Michigan State.

Tony, his wife Ashleigh, and his daughter Breegan Amari, currently reside in Hilliard and are looking forward to impacting Columbus tennis.
